“The Sum of My Distractions”
24-in X 24-in X 2-in
Acrylic on Gallery Wrapped Canvas
June 2026
This acrylic painting depicts my version of the Walnut Street Bridge crossing the Tennessee River from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee to the North Shore. I call it "The Sum of My Distractions" because I completed 4-5 other paintings while I was working on this one. I kept getting distracted by these other thoughtforms entering my awareness...
Capture the lively soul of an iconic river city with this colorful, mixed-media cityscape painting. The composition showcases a historic blue truss bridge spanning wide, sparkling waters, anchored by weathered stone piers and framed by charming hillside architecture and stylized greenery.
Suspended in the starry sky hangs a luminous golden moon inscribed with intricate sacred geometry mandalas, casting glowing rays and starry speckles across the deep blue night. Rendered with bold illustrative black outlines, rich acrylic layers, and glittering surface textures, this captivating artwork brings playful warmth, urban energy, and celestial wonder to any contemporary living space or gallery wall.
