“Golden Brown & the Blue Spots”
12-in. X 16-in.
Acrylic on Canvas Panel
December 2024
I’ve spent a lot of time chasing brown trout in the Smokey Mountains. ery little of that time was productive (as far as catching a brown trout goes), and I loved every second of it!
Bring the raw beauty of freshwater currents into your home with this striking, close-up portrait of a Brown Trout. Rendered in a bold illustrative style, the painting captures the fish in motion, showcasing its fierce profile, open jaw, and luminous golden-ochre skin accented with distinctive dark and crimson spots.
The warm, earthy tones of the trout contrast vividly against a swirling, textured aquatic backdrop layered with deep cobalt, electric cyan, and bubble-like orbital patterns. With tactile line detailing and rich acrylic textures, this statement canvas is an ideal centerpiece for fly fishing enthusiasts, rustic cabin interiors, lake homes, and contemporary wildlife art collections.
