“Dot the Rainbow”
9-in X 12-in
Acrylic on Canvas Panel
March 2025
Unlike my nemesis the brown trout, I’ve caught my fare share of rainbows.
Channel the enduring spirit of the American wilderness with this original mixed-media painting of a bison herd on the move. Set against an imposing backdrop of jagged, snow-draped mountain peaks and a vivid azure sky, the scene captures the quiet power and resilience of these iconic creatures braving a winter blizzard.
Rendered in rich, earthy browns and deep shadows, the bison are layered with tactile brushwork and textured falling snowflakes that blanket the foreground. Combining bold illustrative linework with expressive, atmospheric landscape details, this statement piece brings grounded rustic warmth, Western heritage, and scenic mountain tranquility to any modern cabin, farmhouse, living room, or lodge.
