“62 Orders of Magnitude”
14-in X 14-in X 2-in

January 2026
I’m not a scientist and I don’t play one on tv, but it’s my understanding that 62 orders of magnitude is the difference in scale between an object at the Quantum/”Plank” scale and the entire universe. Basically, what that means is that if you took the smallest thing we can interact with in any way, and you 10x its size 62 times, that thing would be the size of the universe. Whether or not my number is accurate, the principle remains the same. Everything that we can perceive and interact with- from subatomic particles to the entire universe as a whole - exists within a small slice of possible sizes. What exists outside those 62 Orders of Magnitude? At scales larger and smaller than we can even conceive of… Discuss amongst yourselves….

Through this portal is "The Way Home". You find yourself standing in a peaceful garden outside a stone building with an interesting window and an open doorway or portal leading inside. You look into the opening, through the darkness, to find a stone staircase leading to another portal. If you look closely, you can make out the familiar shape of a person standing just inside. Perhaps it's someone you recognize. Someone you miss...

What times we find ourselves in. "The world is on fire" is a sentiment I've recently encountered with regularity. Old systems are showing cracks. Secrets are being revealed, and curtains peeled back for all the world to see. Emperors, tyrants, and wannabe dictators march the world to war wearing no clothes. And the rich get richer...
Meanwhile, impossible things are appearing in our skies, and change hangs in the air. Corruption is being exposed, and Truth is clawing its way to the surface. A wave of positive energy has been building in the shadows. Hearts & minds are coming together with the understanding that it's all the same thing. We're becoming aware of what it means to live with the earth instead of ruthlessly plundering her for our convenience. Collectively felt, consistently witnessed, rarely and barely understood. What is happening, I could not say, but I feel hope. There is a path to a bright future if we are strong enough to surrender...
This acrylic painting is my expression of hope and connection , and it’s designed to encourage and maintain a high-frequency vibrational state by reminding you that a brighter future lies just around the bend.

Okay..., I know this looks like some kind of psychedelic flying saucer thing, but we all know (and I'm gonna' keep reminding y'all) that THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS UFOs. I did not paint a UFO. I'm not even sure what I painted, but I can tell you that any resemblance to a UFO is completely coincidental. I think it was probably just a camera glitch...
Ignite your imagination with this mesmerizing, cosmic mixed-media painting. Anchoring the upper crest of the canvas, a sleek retro-futuristic spacecraft hovers within a crisp starburst outline, crowned by a rich, sparkling navy dome and an illuminated cockpit grid.

Each concentric sphere is individually rendered with layered acrylic rings, metallic gold accents, and packed with dazzling, multicolored glitter cores in electric cyan, emerald, magenta, and amber. Set against a vivid cerulean blue ground with striking graphic contrast, this textured statement artwork adds playful sci-fi wonder, radiant sparkle, and modern pop-art energy to creative studios, bedrooms, game rooms, or contemporary art collections.

I’ve spent a lot of time chasing brown trout in the Smokey Mountains. ery little of that time was productive (as far as catching a brown trout goes), and I loved every second of it!

This acrylic painting depicts the story of a fleeting romance in the quantum realm. Two subatomic particles meet in a magnetic field and fall madly in love. It's love at first sight. Unfortunately, they collide head-on at relativistic speeds, tearing each other apart and ending their brief but intense love affair... but not before their union creates the geometries that you see in this painting.

I took those profound words from the cover of the most useful book in the universe! Then I drank 2 Pan-Galactic-Gargle-Blasters and my memory goes fuzzy.
This acrylic panorama depicts a scene from another of my adventures with Balueux and Hazel (a.k.a., Stinky) in the dreamtime. The 3 of us went for a hike in the woods and lost track of time. Before we knew it, night was falling, and that's when the weird stuff began. As you can see from the painting, I was standing right in front of that spherical portal. I thought about jumping in and exploring another dimension, but who would create all these paintings for me? I woke up anyway...

This acrylic painting depicts my version of the Walnut Street Bridge crossing the Tennessee River from downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee to the North Shore. March 2025
The red drum, sea bass, or "Redfish" is known by many names, none of which matter when you've got one on your line. They can get big - over 30 inches - and they fight hard. They're easily identified by their golden scales and the cluster of black dots on their tail, and you'll see them in coastal waters. I find them far easier to paint than they are to catch...
Celebrate the spirit of coastal waters with this original mixed-media painting of a Red Drum (Redfish). Rendered with striking clarity and tactile depth, the fish comes alive through shimmering, golden-amber scales, deep crimson fins, and its signature black tail spots.

“A Significant Point of Clarity”

February 2026
I often begin a painting without much of a plan. Sometimes, it feels like the colors mix themselves and the paint knows where it wants to go. I just stand there over the canvas creating colors, moving the brush around, and smiling - watching an image gain coherence. There's a point in this process where the disconnected shapes develop into a form that starts to feel organized and I begin to recognize or understand what's taking shape. I call that moment "A Significant Point of Clarity"

June 2026
On one of my recent trips to visit the elves, I found myself wondering when the room I was standing in had changed into a swirling vortex. I was just beginning to get my bearings when this interesting looking frog hopped up to me. He sat there at my feet, looking up at me with a twinkle in his eye. I was still a little confused by the whole situation, so I reached down to pet the frog's head and asked him, "What's up, Mr. Frog?"
The frog smiled, took in a ddep breath and said, "Ribbit..."
“The Speckled Trout”

The elusive speckled trout has occupied the thoughts of many coastal anglers. It's one of my favorite salt water fish to target (notice I didn't say catch) when I get the chance to fish in the ocean. I'm pretty sure they know I'm coming, because they always seem to be where I am not.... I find them far easier easier to paint than catch.
